Indus Industrial Group supplies Modular Aluminum Demountable Flood Barriers and Stop Log Systems engineered for clear spans from 1.0 meter to 4.5 meters per bay (and multi-bay configurations up to unlimited widths) with defense heights up to 3.0 meters. Fabricated from high-tensile structural extruded aluminum alloy (6063-T6 / 6005-T6) with continuous EPDM compression gaskets and stainless steel side support posts, these modular stop logs provide temporary or semi-permanent dewatering barriers for canal maintenance, water plant channel isolation, and building perimeter flood defense in Iraq.

Water treatment plant filter bed isolation, canal regulator maintenance dewatering, pumping station dry-docking, substation perimeter flood barriers, and riverfront building protection in Baghdad, Basra, Erbil, Wasit, and Amarah.
Routine maintenance of water treatment plant sedimentation basins, filter channels, and municipal intake bays requires rapid, temporary isolation of water flow without installing permanent heavy sluice gates. Furthermore, seasonal river surge flooding along the Tigris and Euphrates demands rapidly deployable flood barriers to protect pumping stations, power plants, and municipal infrastructure. Indus Modular Aluminum Stop Log Barriers deliver a lightweight, portable engineering solution that can be deployed by two workers without cranes.
The system comprises precision-engineered hollow structural aluminum extrusion beams (stop logs) fitted with continuous co-extruded EPDM seals along their base and joints. Vertical guide posts fabricated from structural stainless steel (AISI 304/316) or heavy anodized aluminum are permanently embedded or surface-bolted into channel walls. When isolation is required, workers simply slide the lightweight aluminum logs down between the vertical guides.
A top clamping screw mechanism applies downward mechanical compression onto the stack, compressing the elastomeric gaskets between logs and against the floor to achieve an effective watertight barrier. After maintenance is complete, logs are removed in minutes and stored compactly on purpose-built transport pallets. Staged in Erbil, Baghdad, and Basra.
A 3-meter wide by 1.5-meter high barrier can be assembled by two workers in less than 15 minutes. The aluminum logs slide easily into pre-installed wall channels, after which top clamps are tightened with a standard wrench.
Each aluminum beam features a precision tongue-and-groove profile containing an integrated continuous EPDM compression gasket. When top clamping bolts are tightened, the gaskets compress tightly together, preventing water seepage.
Yes. For wide channels, removable intermediate vertical support posts are locked into ground sockets embedded flush in the canal concrete bed, allowing modular spans of unlimited width.
